Young Leaders Committee

The World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC) is establishing a Young Leaders Committee to help drive the Youth Environmental Education Congress.

The WEEC are looking for young people (under 35) who are already making a difference through environmental education and engagement, or who are passionate about creating positive change for the planet! The Young Leaders Committee will meet every six weeks in 2025 once established and monthly in 2026. The meetings will focus on collaborative efforts to create a meaningful and impactful congress. Participation will require about four hours a month, including online meetings.

The committee will consist of up to 28 members representing 12 international regions, ensuring a diverse range of voices and experiences are included in the planning process. Each region will be represented by two members of differing genders (male, female, and non-binary) if possible. The regional representation will be as follows:

How to apply

The application process includes filling out an application form and submitting your story.

The application form can be completed online. If you have difficulties accessing the form online, please complete the required information into a Word document and send it via email to weec2026@arinexgroup.com.

You can share your story in any way that feels right for you. Whether it’s through a written story, a video, photos, artwork, or a combination of them all. Don’t worry, the applications won’t be assessed based on how you tell your story, but rather the passion and creativity behind it!
